I am working on the vertical stabilizer and noticed an inconsistancy between the manual, parts, and drawing. The manual and parts agree that the ribs are VS 704, VS 705, etc., however, on drawing 6PP the ribs are referred to as VS 404, VS 405, etc.

I'm 99.9% sure it is just a mistake on the drawing, but I'm looking for that 100% comfort level. Anyone else notice this issue? A search on this site yeilded no similar topics.

Van's sent an older drawing with my kit (from 1998 I think). The small one in the preview plans was newer (2001) and is correct. You can build from the small one and just use the large drawing for perspective.

Give Vans a call on Monday and they'll send you the correct full size drawing at no charge.

Very true, but in my defense, comfort is relative.

And yes, the preview plans are newer than the big plans.
