when removing an oil filter some oil collected in the A mount weldment. the weldment acts like a cup. has anyone drilled hole(s) in this part of the weldment to drain away fuilds?

Steve,

No holes needed.

Just Dry with air hose and fill with RTV.
Fill higher in center and will auto drain.

Worked great.

Its what is commonly used on all the Boeing products for leveling compound/drain paths. It will adhere well, resist all fluids, and can be painted. I use PR1422/A1/2. The A designation is very thin and flows well, and cures in a half hour. Pour/scoup it in with the aircraft in the "parked" position until the cavity is full. It will last forever, and has no adverse effect on metals or paint. Some RTVs are corrosive, and hard to get leveled.
