Door wars. I have recently acquired an RV10 that needs a bit of TLC. The first biggie was the doors. I wanted it lockable and I also wanted a much better safety latch. So off came the doors and the rework started. I pulled off the vinyl that was glued on first. Then cleaned off the glue and started working. The original builder has filled in all the screw heads with a filler and has painted over it. Not a good idea seeing that one might have to remove the mechanism at some stage. He did the same with the hinges. I then took a new approach with the hinges. It is one area that is so difficult to get neat and weather tight. I am posting a few pictures. I have not seen anyone doing this way. Usually the meticulous builders will make a cover some sorts. Note on the last picture - it has been taken before I replaced the rubber
