I have the automotive Facet fuel pump that comes in the FWF kit for my carbureted O-360.

I was expecting it to cut off after the fuel pressure got to a certain level. The pump keeps chattering although the pressure stabilized at 2.5 lbs. Is this the way it should work? Thanks.

Yes

It stops operating when you turn it off and if it isn't turned off its operating noise is heard.

This operates differently than fuel pumps I am used to where the pumping slows down as pressure builds and eventually stops when the pressure theshold is reached.

I'm fine with the Facet if this is what it's supposed to do though.
