Last weekend, I replaced my defective HS-34 module with a new one from Dynon. I also changed the D-100's battery while I had it out and after I finished, it read DSAB connectivity error...or something similar, and the 430W would not show on the D-100's HSI and had a 'no arinc 429 signal detected'.

Will changing the battery erase the D-100's memory? It also said 'no HS-34 installed' when it was installed. Ray re-programmmed the D-100 and now all is fine but I'm curious.

Thanks,

Nope,

Most likely changing the HS34's serial # caused this..

I have disconnected the battery before and never had an issue. Remember that the battery is also an optional component...

You get an A+

....because Dynon did call back and said exactly what you just did. The new serial # wasn't entered.

Thanks,
