I have an electric AI and DG and would like some advice about what to do during infrequent aerobatics. As I see it, the options are:

1) do nothing
2) disable with a switch (circuit would be protected by a fuse)
3) disable with a pullable breaker (protects circuit and disables gyro)

As always, any advice is greatly appreciated.

Rolls won't hurt the AI. Not sure about the DG. For loops the AI should be caged and un-powered. Just removing power still allows the gimble to bang against the stops. Just caging is hard on the bearings because it's spinning and trying to follow the horizon.
