Hi!
Didn´t find any topic on this one. Is it a bad way to dimple the skins with the vinyl-coating left on on the top/outer side? I have removed it with the soldering-iron tecnuiqe on the inside.
Pro: Less scratches?
Con: Poor dimples?

Any thoughts are welcome!

I am partial to getting a very clean dimple....achieved by carefully deburring....followed with a clean accurate dimple. Plastic wrap IMHO will compromise the dimple quality. Paint or polish will repair any minor blemish from dimpling...

when you do this

you may very well smash the debur shavings into the metal. i think vans says not to do this for this reason.
