OK, I have managed to get myself confused here... 
DWG 28A shows the rivet callouts for F-890PP (RV8A only). It shows the bottom view. The rivets around the gear legs are to be "flush on inside of airplane". No problem, I can handle that. The rivets that attach the F-893 L&R and F-802U are flush rivets. Since there is no orientation note, I assume the flush side is on the bottom and the shop head on the inside of the aircraft. Is that correct?
I think what is confusing me is that there are some more flush rivets along the firewall and there is an orientation note which says "flush head on bottom". I first thought that since this is a bottom view, "on bottom" meant on top (double negative). Now, I don't think this is the case. I think the flush rivets along the firewall should be flush on outside of aircraft and shop head on inside (same as the ones through the 893's and 802U (which have no orientation note)). Is that correct?
