DANG!

Not paying enough attention to planes.

I dimpled the T-901 tank skins instead of Counter-sinking them.

What are my options?

New Tank skin? Dimple or countersink the baffle?

*sigh*

First I would shoot an Email to Vans.
I would also un-dimple them, but only if Vans said it will be ok.
Its not going to move once you pro-seal the baffle on anyway.
MMMmmmm the smell of pro-seal in the morning.

:)

I believe I've read others who say they use to dimple them. Dimpling those holes will just make it more difficult to install the baffle. I'd check with Vans before undimpling..

I say no big deal. Don't un-dimple the skin. Dimple the baffle and build on. But call vans to make yourself comfortable.

I am pretty sure I did the same thing. I dimpled the baffle and had no problems installing the baffle. I could see no other negative. You could undimple, I wouldn't though.

I dimpled mine, no big deal. Just dimple the baffle to match and plow ahead.

Gospel according to Van's...

Thanks everyone for the replies. All of you saved my skin and me a new skin.

The Official word from Van's:

David,
Just put a flush set in your squeezer and flatten the dimples...then go back and machine countersink as specified. If you leave it dimpled, it'll be tough to get it sealed up.

Rule of thumb...OK to flatten or reverse a dimple once. Only once, though!
