It seems pretty simple to install a steinair (or similar) eyeball vent in the horizontal surface of the glare shield, pointing up at the windscreen.... This would be plumbed from a scat tube vertically off the top of the cabin heat baffle Box/cover. When you turn the cabin heat on, if you want to deflect some warm air to the windscreen you just open the vent. This would also mix the air a bit, as opposed to just blowing at your feet.

This has to have been done before, no? Thoughts?

I see the computer fan option is pretty common, but does anyone have any pictures of what the cut-out on the top of the cowl? Big hole? Small slit with some kind of funnel?

Grumman AA defrost vents

I bought a set of these http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/defrostvent.php?clickkey=123170 (from Aircraft Spruce) but will probably only use one. The sliding part will let you set the amount of air you want on the windscreen. Maybe you can find one out there that someone wants to sell.
