That is a pretty big arbor hole. You can make or buy a spacer, but the 5/8" is more common on the less than heavy commercial grinding/buffing machines. McMaster-Carr has a nice selection. My two cents...

I have a 1/2 ( arbor) bench grinder so I will need the adapter for the 1inch hole

Why not just get one through Vans. Price is competitive, and you will actually have the one they recommend. Have them pack it with your kit, and you won't even notice you paid for it.
Just noticed the wheel you are referring to. I don't think a silicon carbide wheel is what you want. That's a grinder wheel.

I purchased mine over 25-years ago. I believe that what I have is a Medium wheel. The Amazon description says Silicon Carbide and that is not what I have been using on aluminum for more than 25-years. I question if the Amazon link is the correct wheel for building an aluminum airplane.
