Mel,
If I assembled my ECI Titan Kit engine, what entry is made on the "Manufacturer, Model and Serial Number of each Engine Installed" line on the 8050-88 (affidavit of ownership)?
Doe, John J., O320-B1B1N, 12345
or
ECI, O320-B1B1N, 12345

getting a start on the paperwork,
Steve

Craig is correct. It can be whatever you want it to be. It will always be an experimental engine.

I put ECI .. but looking online.. somehow that turned into Lycoming after paperwork reached FAA :)

What shows up on the final paperwork should be whatever was on the 8130-6.

Along the same lines...

I am filling out my 8050-88 right now and I'm stumped on the engine mfg, model, serial number line. I have what 'was' a Lycoming IO-360-A1A, but it doesn't have a data plate and it's definatly an experimental engine. What should I put down? I was thinking I sould call it whatever I want as long at it doesn't say Lycoming IO-360-A1A?
Help!

Yep!

If it doesn't have a dataplate, you can call it whatever you wish.
