I'm in the throws of my avionics wiring.

For those that have installed a Dynon180 and a GTX 327 I have a couple of questions.

I know PIN 13 of the D180 goes to PIN 19 on the GTX 327. I'm guessing that I should replace the unshielded wire in the D180 harness for that PIN with a shielded wire?

PIN 21 on the D180 is the Serial encoder ground. Should that just go to my avionics ground and should that be shielded as well? So essentially, I'll be installing a 2-wire shielded wire for both PIN 13 and 21?

I also have a G496 and there is an RS-232 in (PIN 2 on the 327) that I can utilize for airborne sensing...necessary? I know I don't need a squat switch and the 327 will sense A/S, but has anyone used this from a G496?

And my last question. concerning the power to the 327. I have a VP100 and PIN6 on J3 (20AWG) is designated for the power to the 327. I have the 327 assigned to Switch 2, which is my avioncs master. The power from the VP100 will be going to PIN 15 on the 327 (11-33 VDC A/C PWR). What I'm stumped on is that there is PIN 14, which is the switched pwr output, and PIN 1, which is the avionics master.

Do I just utilize PIN 15 since the VP100 is controlling the switch?

ANy help and clarification will be appreciated....I want to avoid that nice smoke!

Thanks

Don
