Thinking about cutting the batwing off the tips and making them have a straight trailing edge. Has anyone done this?

The batwing tips are hard to come by, but they do look nice. I suggest selling them to someone who wants them, and buying a set of straight-back tips instead.

Trailing edge would end up a bit thick. If you can live with that, start hacking.

I agree that you should try to sell them. They are too unique to saw off, and in the future prove to be kind of rare. I love the way they look on my RV-8!

I have no idea why you’d want to cut them off. There must be a better mod to think about. I like mine including how they look in many photos.

I’m not a fan of them either.. the original flat top 415 imo look the best.. if only there was a better clear lenses option..
