Does anyone have a recommendation for an outfit that does both a case bore and a crank polish?
Thnx

AEA and DivCo

AEA for the crankshaft.
DivCo for the case.

I don;t know of anyone that does both. Many shops you send it to will basically sub it out to these two.

ECI used to do both. Aircraft Specialties in Tulsa has always done stellar cranks. I usually have them send matched bearings along with it. Rods & rockers too.

I've found that Chuck Ney Enterprises does a nicer job on cases than Divco.
Steel parts go to Aircraft Specialties...they are fantastic to work with.

Divco has a big name in cases, but they're not always perfect. I had gear clearance issues several times over the years and have had tool or grinder marks on the parting surface a couple times. If Chuck Ney is doing good I'll give him a try maybe. Anyone have any input on his "no-choke" cylinders?

I overhauled an IO-540-K1G5 and had Chuck do the cylinders. Runs cool and uses a quart of oil every 20 hours. Had the stupid choke ground out of them.
