While flying yesterday I noticed a crack from the base of the canopy, vertical upwards approx. 4" in lenght. I landed and investigated the crack and then stopped drilled the crack with a small drill bit (#45). No Idea how this happened other than perhaps a small crack was in the base of the canopy that was not discovered on installation.

Does anyone have any ideas to better fuse the crack ? ie. typs of solvents or plexi-glues to make sure this crack will not increase in size.

ZMan,
Are you living in the part of the country where the temperature has gone through the roof? My cockpit temperature holding for TO yesterday in the shade was 140DF

Is your canopy rivited or glued? Let the great Sikaflex debate begin anew!

Weld-On #3

Try Weld-On #3. It is as runny as water (or worse:D) so apply with a very small syringe. It will fuse the crack.
Good luck
I got mine at a local plastics shop.
