It clearly states at the end of the spinner section (44-07) to install the spinner with the hardware called out in Figure 1. Then on 45-08 (cowling section), it shows the spinner not there and it says that the aluminum angle should rest on the spinner plate. So I assume that the spinner has to be taken off during cowling installation.

Just checking to make sure that I do it correctly.
