Getting ready to paint the lower cowl, and the carb air inlet has me a bit worried. Any tips on how to get good coverage spraying into that little opening? Do you just set the fan width on the gun very narrow and go to work?

I think that's what I did, and just "blipped" the gun at the various angles to avoid too much buildup. Either that or I used my Badger 250 airbrush. Can't remember. I kept the airbrush handy for tight areas like that.

Of course after admiring the perfection of the job, a few weeks later the lower cowl fell over and hit the hangar door putting a nice gouge in the scoop.

Just more light coats than normal. The first time, I had paint runs all over; but it looked great for about five minutes.
