What are you guys getting for clearance between the left side of the FAB and cowl? I am only getting about ?? and this was after fabricating my own offset mounting plate? Is ?? enough? Sure seems close. Thanks.

That sounds about what I have in spots. I ended up altering the shape of my FAB a tad on that left side to make more clearance with the cowl scoop. I could tell that the FAB was hitting down there on startup and shutdown by seeing scuff marks in the foil protective heat shield I had placed there in the cowl scoop.

I suggest that you run the engine a couple times during your checkouts prior to your first flight and check the FAB for scuffing and then you will know where and how much to alter it.

chafing on mine

I had chafing on my FAB airbox on the left lower side. I modified mine at annual. If you have 1/2" clearance you should be good to go. Jack
