K krw5927 Well Known Member Mar 23, 2011 #2 Can't speak to question number 1, but I do have and use both types of countersink cages. I tend to hold the cage with one hand and the drill in the other, and have never noticed a difference with the nylon feet. Neither seem to damage the surface.

rleffler Well Known Member Mar 23, 2011 #3 I've found that I had fewer scratches with the nylon foot.
Flyguytki Well Known Member Mar 23, 2011 #4 I would recommend the nylon feet, Recently my cages have been leaving marks on the material, If its available it doesnt hurt anything. -david

Right size for building RV's. No. 2. Both. No difference. I can scratch aluminum just as well with either!
