[Future RV 9 Flyer]

Question for the group,the two screws for the gear weldment on the forward bracket that are countersunk.Are they the same angle as a 426 rivet? If not,what do you use to counter sink the holes with? Thanks for the help

If they are Aircraft Screws as opposed to Ace Hardware screws they have the same 100 degree angle as the aircraft rivets...


Hardware store stuff is 82 degrees.

Just use your cage countersink bits. I did these countersinks bit by bit, with the cage removed. Use the screws as a depth gauge. You'll do the same above and below the tank attach brackets.
