Hi all,

I'm seeking clarification about p14-02 step #2 where we are called out to machine countersink 120? all of the flange holes on the outer surface of the stub spars. If I am reading the plans correctly, the inboard skins will wrap around those stub spars and be riveted from outside the with CS4-4's, but I don't see anything about prepping the inboard skins for those countersunk rivets. Will the act of pulling those rivets deform the skin to fit into the countersinks on the stub spars, or am I missing something?

TIA,

Ran into the same conundrum myself at that stage. The answer magically appeared when I took the skins out of the crate...they come pre-dimpled from the factory. Those Van's guys think of everything!

DOh! Never thought to check them after I got them stored in another part of the house. Out of sight, out of mind... Thanks for the reality check!
