I saw a -4 with what looks to be a counter balanced rudder. Is this a mod on the -4 rudder? Or is this a -8 rudder hung on a -4? Or possibly a whole -8 empenage on a -4? Just curious...
My buddy Hollywood in Dallas converted his stock RV4 tail to counterbalanced. He (like me) thinks the -8 tail looks too big. I can get you his email address if you like...
I'd be interested in finding out about the counterbalanced rudder as well. I was going to ask about putting a -7 vert stab on. As far as I know the -6 vert is the same as the -4, so I'm curious about the -7.
