Anyone lurking out there in Central America with an RV or similar? Any airpark type developments or experimental friendly areas?

I had been thinking about retiring to Nicaragua, where my wife owns some land, but when we were there in the winter of 2004 for a couple weeks, the strong gusty wind just never let up. That kind of killed my idea of retiring there and flying my RV amongst the volcanoes and rain forests. Now, that is the Pacific side of the country and it was winter, but still hot, dry, and windy. Perhaps other parts of the country are better for flying and other countries in C.A. are better from an economic standpoint. Nicaragua has a ways to go yet.
