I just grabbed my center cabin cover (floor) from my attic after a couple of years, does this appear to be corrosion? If so should i be concerned, what type, how to verify and how to appropriately fix.
Thanks,
Andy

It looks like filaform, a mild corrosion that can be scuffed with
a maroon pad, acid etched, anodized then primed and painted.
If you have other parts up there, I would suggest that you
move them to an area that has a little more air circulation.

AC43-13-1b has a complete chapter devoted to corrosion, identification, repair, etc...
It's hard to tell from the pics but Filiform usually has spider like traces, but it could be. This looks like condensated moisture droplets and dirt. Take a mild soap and cloth to it and see if it wipes off. If not, do as Lorne suggests and then find a better storage place.

Get the circular.

Thanks for the replies, I was trying to be lazy. AC 43.13 for recreation and education here I come.....
