many pilots might not know but you can fly into goodspeed airport 42B and walk 5 minutes to the

for a daytime show. there is also three options for food.

the gelston house is the more expensive. the location is located along the ct river. ps, don't miss the ice cream shop just east along the main street. PINK storefront. enjoy your rv flights.

Goodspeed, 42B

Goodspeed airport is a neat place. Do yourself a favor and scare the geese from the area before takeoff. They were hiding on the lower left out of sight (about 30 of them) and decided to depart directly across the runway about 3/4 down the runway towards to river when we were about 1/4 of the way down.

Boardman House B&B is very good and La Vita across the street is both good and cheap. One block from Goodspeed.

Finally I visited the spot. The only opera house in the world you can walk from airplane parking. However you have to buy the tickets online well in advance. :D

well here we are 5 years later and still kicking and another place to go.
met a friend here and had lunch at the gelston house and sat inside because it was blazing hot on the deck.
headed south about 10 minutes in the car to Gillette castle on the CT river and did the tour of the castle. wow. what a guy. thought he invented the shaving blade but not.
enjoy the pics and come over some time.

I don't know Richard, there are still a few people there that I haven't met. I recognize the planes better than the owners!
