Congratulations to Ken Morris - Private Pilot!

Who woulda thunk it?

Just passed his checkride in his own-build RV-7A. Knew nothing about aviation when he started and had 0 hours in anything else but, not knowing anything about airplanes, bought it, built it, trained in it and now.. is a pilot!

Grass roots........

Congratulations for sure! In my opinion, the true spirit of EAA and grass roots aviation. I have several friends who taught themselves to fly in the ultralights they built. Another one bought a Cessna 120 and taught himself to fly it......I know, I know, that's not legal but he did it, just like Orville and Wilbur,

Ken,

Good job. I knew you could get er done. Now I need to get my 7A done so we can 2 ship. 45 degrees and 1 mile is what I am use to. That should be fine till we get used to it and fly with or scare Doug up at 3TO. Hope to see you at OSH and will buy you a cold one for your accomplishment.
