An AI or A&P can sign off a condition inspection on an experimental aircraft for a new owner that is using 100 Low Lead aviation fuel. What if the aircraft is using automotive gas, does the A&P or AI have the same authority.:rolleyes:
 
The A&P is supposed to find that the aircraft is in a safe condition (or not) for operation, on the date of the inspection. He is not responsible for how you operate the aircraft.
 
And just for the record.....

An IA has nothing to do with experimental amateur-built aircraft.
An IA's job is to confirm that the aircraft conforms to its' type certificate.
