In case anyone hasn't noticed, I've spent a lot of time agonizing over the various firewall pass throughs the past couple days. For preventing chafing and stopping flame, the SafeAir pass throughs seem great.

At the same time, for the more likely problem of CO and fumes, I don't really see how the SafeAir approach could really provide a good, airtight seal. Does it do a good job at this?

Steve I used the SafeAir pass through. I'm not closed up yet, but I believe it will be airtight when I'm done. It was plenty big enough for all my wires, with room to spare. They have really nice products and their customer support is second to none.

I have one on each side of the firewall. The quality is great and they included a sealer to be injected before clamping the fireshield. I'm not flying yet but I don't believe fumes will be a problem.
