Getting ready for take-off today the tower reported my transmission garbled/unreadable with a lot of background noise, switched to backup headset (lightspeed QNR)and everything fine suggesting a headset rather than radio problem, never happened before. Headset is a Bose X which has worked flawlessly for years, temp was 30 so the headset had cold soaked in the hanger all night.
Any ideas, I wonder if the battery was low and affected by the cold but the light was green showing normal, intercom setting unchanged.
