Hi as the temperature of the air entering the carbies is over 120 degree it is like running with the carby heat on all the time has anyone fitted a cold air intake I was thinking of using a couple of intake ducts and and ducting the cold air to the air filters

The original RV-12 prototype (Yellow) was flight tested with a cold air intake and just straight filters for comparison.
There was a performance difference, but not significant, so simplicity was chosen instead (no pilot controlled carb.heat needed, lower cost, etc.)

If you try it, don't forget carb. heat....
