I'd like to mount a video camera inside the cockpit, looking forward over the nose. It's not obvious to me how to mount a camera in a good, stable position, though. How have you all done that?

VIRB

Using the mounting piece provided with my Garmin Virb camera aviation package from Sportys I used a good (meaning strong) clamp, and bolted the mount to the bottom edge of the clamp. Some easy drilling involved.

I then clamped it of the support structure between the roll-bar and back baggage wall. This worked well but I couldn't do it this way if I had a passenger.

I also used the provided suction cup mount and put it on the inside of the canopy, right side, near the back. I couldn't use the sun shade but if was winter then so no issues. Using this mount allowed me to pivot the camera around for more views.
