I just had my Hartzell CSP rebuilt and started installing it yesterday. Everything was going fine until we mounted the front spinner bulkhead. It is rotated about 15 degrees out of position. The screw holes in the spinner no longer align with the holes and nut plates in the spinner bulkhead. Is it possible to turn the black "dome" to position the holes? Here is a picture.

This was mentioned in another thread awhile back, short answer, no. You cannot turn the dome, may need to buy a new front bulkhead or glass fill holes in spinner and drill new holes and new nut plate locations.

We have just drilled new holes in the bulkhead using the spinner as a template, and relocated the nut plates. Usually the holes are off far enough to allow this. Larry

This has to be the simplest, least painless way to address this issue. The black dome will never end up in the previous location after it gets torqued down.

Thanks everyone. Not a big deal to fix by relocating the nut plates. Seems like there must be some way to let the prop rebuilder know to put the dome back in the same place.
