I've got a GRT EIS and am wondering if this will satisfy the requirements for clocks/hobbs and whatever else I need. The panel is getting pretty crowded and I'm hoping to be just about done adding gizmos. Well??

Steve, why do you need a clock/hobbs?

For years people without electrical systems have been logging time with wrist and stopwatches.

Anything that comes in an EFIS is WAAAAY more accurate than that.

You will be fine (maintenance-wise) with the EFIS supplied one, if that is what you need it for.

EIS has an hour meter, cumulative (hobb) and trip clock. It does not have a clock.

Clock, I think all GPS will display the current GMT time. Than there is the wrist watch. We all know you are not a real pilot unless you have a HUGE watch with all kinds of buttons on it. :p

Mel is right, only the IFR panel needs a clock with sweep second or equivalent digital display.
