I'm now around 10h + in my -8 since Christmas. Its a beautiful and fun to fly plane!
It is a very similar feeling like in a big heavy fighter but less expensive... especially in fuel flow! 9 or 10 gal/h compared to 50 gal/h +++
RV 8 a good choice!

Keep building its worth it!!!!

Even the vertical climb performance is not too bad

How would it climb with that nice little engine:

But its a bit heavy. around 1400lbs without Prop, oil coolant etc!

I am flying out of Guenzburg EDMG, some 40 miles east of Stuttgart. Uetersen is about two RV hours away and when the weather is improving I might head north.
