I installed 8 Click Bond metallic swivel cable tie mounts to the inside fuselage skin on my RV8, after they cured you can see a round ring about the size of a dime on the exterior of the skin where the mount is. I cannot feel that the skin is warped or distorted, it just looks like it is. Is this because of the glue heating as it sets? I intend on painting my plane but would like to know if this is something to be concerned about? What if I wanted to keep the polished look could it be buffed out? Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Mike

Call them

Hey,

I just used some Click Bond for some parts. Very cool stuff. I had a couple of old packets and they didn't set. I called and spoke to one of their chemical engineers about the shelf life. Very helpful.

I suspect it was the heating as it cured. Shouldn't be a problem but I'd call them and check.

Click Bond is great stuff. I love the little packets.
