This might be old news to many, but I just discovered a great cleaner for the various and sundry display screens I have in my cockpit. I'm always a bit nervous about typical cleaning chemicals, and water just doesn't seem to cut it, since fingerprints tend to be oily, and just smear around.
I got new glasses at Eye Masters a few months ago, and they give me a couple of cleaning kits with some sort of solution, microfiber cloth, and little towelettes with the same solution. I figured that if it was good for plastic lenses....and it worked great! No streaks, perfect clarity, and best of all, the grease is gone.
Since I never use the little towelettes for my glasses, I put the whole package in the plane. That might last the long, hot, greasy summer!
