Any ideas on routing the alternator wiring harness from the alternatoe to the firewall? I was thinking of a standoff cushion clamping to the intake tubes as these are lower temperature on underside (away from cylinders) and away from exhaust pipes.
I appreciate any input. Thanks for looking

Jerry,

My TMX-IO-360-M1B has a stainless steel propellor governor oil pipe under the right-hand cylinders. This pipe is cushion clamped to the pan bolts. I used more cushion clamps on this pipe as a stand-off for the alternator cable.

I used your suggested method of attaching to the intake tubes on the left-side to hold my fuel hose. This is the method in the Van's drawings. My starter cable goes down the left side too. I am am awaiting fitting of my mixture cable before deciding how best to clamp the starter cable. I'll need to keep the starter cable away from the fuel line.

Pan /Bolts???

I guess I'm slow due to age or the heat or whatever, are you saying panbolts to hold the clamps to the intake tubes and the standoff clamps for the wire harness??
