Had a lot of carbon deposits on my plugs during the CI. Either I'm using too much choke or carbs are set too rich. Per the POH, I use full choke to start, then slowly reduce the choke to about 1/2 inch and leave it there "until warm" which I take to mean 122 deg oil temp (i.e right before runup). Thoughts from those with more than 71 hours Rotax experience will be hreatly appreciated.

Generally speaking, you should get the choke off as soon as the engine will run smoothly without it.

Turn that choke off Bud!

Wayne I agree with Walt. I turn my choke off as soon as the engine will keep running with out it. Usually with OATs above approx 50F my choke goes off between 20 seconds to 1 min. Leaving it on for oil warm up would mean you are leaving it on average approx 5 to 15 mins depending on OAT. Im sure thats causing your plus to fowl. :)
