I have flown many different aircraft with many different designs of in-flight checklists. Vertical vs horizontal layouts. Spiral bound. Loose loop bound. Quad-fold, tri-fold, etc. I usually just thought about the layout of the checklist itself.

One thing that I just couldn't work out was efficiency of the actual words in the space...Google to the rescue. The following NASA article regarding font, size, etc is short and a REALLY great read. Enjoy!

Good read

PCL........................IDLE
CONTROLS.......NEUTRAL
ALTITUDE............CHECK

Did I get that right?

That was a good read. I'll definitely incorporate that into the checklists I write for my -7.
