Went to fuel the Maule the other day, noticed the safety cap on the fuel nozzle had a gritty feel when I removed it. Someone had retracted the fuel hose and nozzle through the gravel...NICE!
Cleaned it and non event, but had I not noticed and dipped the end of the nozzle in the tank that dirt would have been seasoning my fuel.
Something to watch out for...Flysafe.
