I have seen a few chart/map holders on various posts, and thought I would post pictures of one I made from surplus material and installed in my 9A. It folds up against the sidewall when not in use, and clears the stick in extreme maneuvers.

Was using "allyoucanupload.com" but they stopped uploading new pics.

Now I use webshots.com and sometimes photobucket.com

DR introduced me to Picassa a year and a half ago, and I have never looked back. Incredibly useful software on the PC and uploads are super easy.

This is the one I installed. Mine is in the center, so I can write on it and the passenger can also see it. If you only need it for charts, this is a good way to do it. Oh, by the way, no need to reed the whole thread, the stick does not hit it.
