In western New Mexico there is an area of airspace surrounded with a thick grey line (see picture below). What kind of airspace is this? I don't recognize this marking. Thanks for the help!

That's blue, not gray, and indicates Class E airspace with floor 1,200ft or greater above surface that laterally abuts class G airspace. This boundary is mostly found out in western US. I believe the area inside that boundary is Class G all the way up to, but not including 14,500 ft.

Yeah, I guess you guys are right. Sure doesn’t look very blue though, and there are MOAs nearby and other lines that clearly are blue.
