My rv4 has the short gear and I'd like to put the longer gear on. What would be involved in doing this? Do you have to change the engine mount?

Dan, unfortunately the answer is yes. You have to change the engine mount. The angle of the landing gear changes with the new engine mount. Also the 2 center bolts of the engine mount wont line up with the old bolt holes so you will have to modify that too. It has been done enough that vans has instructions on what is involved.
