Just a heads up that there is a SB on most models of 4 and 6 cylinder Slick magneto points. You might want to go to their web site http://www.championaerospace.com to review. Lycoming will most likely add to their service bulletins page as well.
Any 4200 / 6200 or 4300 / 6300 series Impulse Coupled or Direct Drive Magnetos which have had the M3081 Point Kits replaced with points dated 11/01/2011 thru 3/22/2012 installed as part of a repair; and individual M3081 Point Kits dated 11/01/2011 thru 3/22/2012.
Sorry, I got it as a pdf from my distributor and didn't have the opportunity to link to the specific document. I checked the serial numbers on all of the mags I have sold during that time frame. I don't have any that made it through our shop.
