Folks,
RV-8, part # F-804C-AL. There are a total of 4 bulkheads in this area, three of which have holes pre-punched on the flange to accept the skin. The fourth has none.... Is this the norm? I'll contact Van's when they open tomorrow and ask them, but am seeking guidance here first.
Given these bulkheads have the holes pre-drilled to the exact size for the wing bolts, I wonder how a replacement from Van's would fare? Do you think it feasible to simply proceed with the part and final drill the piece myself using the skin as a template, when that time comes? I guess the pre pre-punched guys would have done this anyway.
