I have a O-360 with a Precision Carb and fuel is seeping from the lower
left aft ball plug. Has anyone experienced this? The engine and carb are
new. I have half a mind to put a dab of jb weld over the ball to seal it.
Any ideas?

Tom,
I've never experienced a seep there, but your proposed fix sounds fine to me.
I'd use a dab of proseal instead of JB weld.

OTOH......

IMHO, a new Carb shouldn't leak. I would fix it properly, and would not try to seal it with anything daubed on the outside.

Tom,

I have to agree with Pete, it shouldn't leak. Remember, at some point in the future that carb will have to be overhauled and getting it apart after "fixing" it with JB weld or even proseal may turn it into a paperweight.

If both new, send it back under warranty.

Thanks for all the comments. They are appreciated. As it turns out, it was not the ball, but the screw plug on the right (not left side as i indicated...other left) aft bottom. This morning, I brushed baby powder
along the rear of the bowl to find out exactly where the fuel was seeping from. It turned out to be the screw plug. I removed it (again) and used a more generous amount of fuel lube. Filled the bowl with fuel (again) and
applied more baby powder. No seeping. Now we are ready for the first flight.
