I've Just started to build again after a 2 year break. Small, easy jobs at first to get into the swing, lest I start by making a BIG mistake when I work on the canopy side skins!
Looking at what I have so far is OK, but could be better. One thing that really irritates me is the fit of the canopy front skin with that of the forward removable upper fuselage skin (F-421) which covers the instrument panel, behind the firewall.
I remember getting a great fit before I riveted the skin to the canopy frame. Now the right side still has a good fit while the left side has developed a 1/32-1/16 bulge about six inches long!
I could shim the F-421 skin before final fit but wonder, are there any other options?
