Taking delivery of my finish kit this week (or early next).

Am considering waiting to install the canopy as the very last step in the build process (other than final paint). Anyone who has completed their -8 see any problem with this that might not be totally obvious at this point?

Thanks,

Ken

I would think this has been done before

I can't think of any reason this wouldn't work. Maybe somebody who has done this will chime in. Are you not wanting to work around your canopy once it is on and potential scratch it?

Hi
I am at the canopy/skirt stage now in the plans. I have elected to fit the canopy in 'plans order' and I am glad I am because:
1: Its a VERY messy job. Lots of plexi particles clinging to everything. I am glad that my instruments, etc are NOT installed.
2: You think the canopy is messy? Wait till you cut the skirts!
3: I am going to be trimming the front top skin to get a nice fit to the canopy frame before I glass over the windshield. I would not want to do that with the skin riveted on.
4: Did I say 'dust' already?
5: I think the finished product will be easier to store out of the way while I do systems.

Thats it for me. Hope this helps
Chris
