Hello all,

I'm in need of replacing the stripping on my 8's canopy and the foam stuff I tried using isn't cutting it. It sticks and begins to fall apart and erode. Just seeing what people use to fill the gaps towards the rear and also to slide alongside the tight portion on the side of the fuselage?

Felt

I used felt from Aircraft Spruce:

I doubled it for thickness where required. Seems to hold up quite well.

A common approach is to use the felt side of a 3/4? wide roll of Velcro (adhesive backing). I did this and it stayed in place for years.
